Abstract

本発明は、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、2つの管状要素(1、2)を固定するための組立体において、この組立体は、その端部の一方の端部の内壁上において固定区域(4)を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第1の管状要素(1)と、その端部の一方の端部の外壁上において固定区域(6)を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第2の管状要素(2)とを備え、2つの端部が重なる時に、内壁と外壁の間の環状空間部を形成するように、第1の管状要素の端部の内壁の直径は、第2の管状要素の端部の外壁の直径よりも大きく、組立体は、環状空間部内で収納されるのに適した熱可塑性材料製スリーブ(3)をさらに有し、スリーブ(3)は、誘導加熱させうる導通要素(5)を有する、ことを特徴とする組立体に関する。

Description

本発明は、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、2つの管状要素を溶融接着するための組立体に関する。本発明は、また、上記組立体を用いて、2つの熱可塑性材料製管状要素を接着する方法に関する。
熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、2つの管状要素を、それらの接触区域が加熱で溶融させられることで接続するための組立体が公知である。この加熱は、磁界(誘導加熱)を発生させることによって、又は、2つの熱可塑性材料製の管状要素の1つに組み込まれた導通要素内で電流(抵抗加熱)を生じさせることによって実施することができる。上記システムは、国際公開公報第80/02124号、欧州特許第0480053号、米国特許第4634844号及び国際公開公報第81/02405号に開示されている。
従来技術のシステムは、導通要素を管状要素に挿入することが原因で、製造するのに、比較的に高価で複雑であった。
本発明の目的の一つは、2つの管状要素を共に溶融接着するための組立体を簡略化することである。本発明の別の目的は、2つの管状要素の接触区域内で導通要素を含まないが、2つの管状要素の中の1つ管状要素の内径を、非常に簡単に修正することで、共に溶融接着されうる、既存の管状要素を用いる可能性に関する。
これらの目的は、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、2つの管状要素を溶融接着するための組立体において、組立体は、その端部の一方の端部の内壁上において接着区域を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第1の管状要素と、その端部の一方の端部の外壁上において接着区域を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第2の管状要素とを備え、2つの端部が重なる時に、内壁と外壁の間の環状空間部を形成するように、第1の管状要素の端部の内壁の直径は、第2の管状要素の端部の外壁の直径よりも大きく、組立体は、環状空間部内で収納されるのに適した熱可塑性材料製スリーブをさらに有し、スリーブは、誘導加熱させうる導通要素を有する、ことを特徴とする組立体を製造することによって実現される。
語「熱可塑性材料」は、熱の作用下で溶融する、又は、せめて、無限数回、特性が変わることなく、十分に成形加工しうるほど軟化する、任意のプラスチックを意味するように理解されるべきである。本発明の文脈の中で使用しうる熱可塑性材料の非制限的な例として、ポリプロピレン、ポリブテン、ポリエチレン、又は任意の他の同様な合成樹脂を挙げることができる。
本発明の文脈の中で使用される管状要素は、任意の形状を有しうる。この管状要素の一つは、カプラー、角度をなした要素、又はT字形状要素としうる。
本発明は、環状空間部内でスリーブを配置することができるように、第1の管状要素の内壁の直径を調節するステップと、スリーブを、第2の管状要素の端部の周りに配置するステップと、第2の管状要素の端部及びスリーブを第1の管状要素の端部内に導入するステップと、接着区域を、誘導加熱によって加熱して溶融するステップとを備えていることを特徴とする、上記の組立体を用いて、2つの管状要素を溶融接着する方法にも関連する。
第1の管状要素の内壁の直径を、非常に簡単に調節することができる。望まれる直径よりも小さな直径を有するカプラーが、最初に選択され、次いで、従来の機械によって拡大させられる。
本発明の例示的な例を、以下の図によってより詳細に記載する。
図1及び2に示す組立体は、第1の熱可塑性材料製管状要素1と、第2の熱可塑性材料製管状要素2とを備えており、第2の熱可塑性材料製管状要素2の外径は、第1の熱可塑性材料製管状要素1の内径よりも小さい。2つの管状要素1、2の直径の差は、例えば約4mmとしうる。2つの管状要素1、2の間に形成されている環状空間部は、リング状導通要素5を有する、熱可塑性材料製スリーブ3によって占められる。導通要素5の厚さは、約1mmとしうる。熱可塑性材料製スリーブ3の厚さは2mmとしうる。熱可塑性材料製スリーブ3の内径は、約40mmとし、スリーブ3の長さは、約15mmとしうる。
一旦、組立体が所定位置に置かれると、導通要素5は、誘導加熱によって加熱され、その結果、スリーブ3と、管状要素1、2の隣接した壁とを構成している、熱可塑性材料を溶融させる。冷却後、組立体は、熱可塑性材料製の一様なブロックを形成し、管状要素1、2が共に接着されることを保証する。

Claims (3)

  1. 熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、2つの管状要素(1、2)を溶融接着するための組立体において、
    前記組立体は、その端部の一方の端部の内壁上において接着区域(4)を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第1の管状要素(1)と、その端部の一方の端部の外壁上において接着区域(6)を有する、熱的に非伸張性である、熱可塑性材料製の、第2の管状要素(2)とを備え、2つの前記端部が重なる時に、前記内壁と前記外壁の間の環状空間部を形成するように、前記第1の管状要素の前記端部の前記内壁の直径は、前記第2の管状要素の前記端部の前記外壁の直径よりも大きく、前記組立体は、前記環状空間部内で収納されるのに適した熱可塑性材料製スリーブ(3)をさらに有し、前記スリーブ(3)は、誘導加熱させうる導通要素(5)を有する、ことを特徴とする組立体。
  2. 前記第1の管状要素はカプラーであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組立体。
  3. 前記環状空間部内で前記スリーブを配置することができるように、前記第1の管状要素の前記内壁の直径を調節するステップと、
    前記スリーブを、前記第2の管状要素の前記端部の周りに配置するステップと、
    前記第2の管状要素の前記端部及び前記スリーブを前記第1の管状要素の前記端部内に導入するステップと、
    前記接着区域を、誘導加熱によって加熱して溶融するステップとを備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組立体を用いて、2つの管状要素を共に溶融接着する方法。
