Abstract
Description
したがって、PDAスクリーンへの損傷を避けるため、オフ−スクリーンインク筆記表面を提供することが先行技術に対して有利である。さらに、PDAに大きな筆記面を提供することおよび視覚的フィードバックが迅速であることが有利である。
本発明の別の目的は、内部に永久磁石が配置されていることのみを必要とする受動スタイラスを提供することである。
本発明の別の目的は、通常の筆記動作および作用によって発生する「開始」および「停止」筆記信号をディスプレイ装置に提供できる受動スタイラスを提供することである。
本発明の別の目的は、磁界強度を高めることによって、変化する信号の表示器として機能する受動スタイラスを提供することである。
本発明の別の目的は、ディスプレイ装置上で消去機能を実行するために反転できる受動スタイラスを提供することである。
本発明の別の目的は、受動スタイラスとキーパッド上のキーとの接触をキーパッドが検出する小型キーパッドとともに使用できる受動スタイラスを提供することである。
発明の第2の態様では、3対の磁気センサを、仮想矩形平面の4つの隅部のうちの3つの角部に配置する。
本発明の第4の態様では、各磁気センサは、感度の方向を変えるための極性コイル、ヌルコイル、およびフリップコイルを含む。

受動スタイラス110の動作は、使用者がディスプレイ上で書き始めようとするときおよび書き終えようとするときを磁気センサが決定できるようにするシステムにおいて、新規である。使用者は、受動スタイラス110を用いて書き始める。紙に押し付けてインクで筆記する場合のように穏やかな僅かな圧力を加えると、受動スタイラス110は「開始」信号を発生し、関連したディスプレイ装置がディスプレイ上に「インク筆記」または筆記の開始を表示する。

Claims (1)
- 磁気センサシステムに位置情報を提供するために永久磁石を使用する、電子機器に入力を提供するための受動スタイラスシステムであって、
少なくとも1つの永久磁石を含む受動スタイラスと、
前記受動スタイラス内に配置された前記少なくとも1つの永久磁石の位置を検出するための磁気センサシステムであって、さらに、(1)前記少なくとも1つの永久磁石を検出すること、(2)少なくとも1つの基準点に対して前記少なくとも1つの永久磁石の位置を決定すること、および(3)前記少なくとも1つの永久磁石の位置を伝送することができる複数の磁気センサを含む、磁気センサシステムと、
前記少なくとも1つの永久磁石の位置を使用し、動作領域内での前記受動スタイラスの移動を表すデータを表示するディスプレイシステムと、
を含む該受動スタイラスシステム。
