Description

【0001】

【0030】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection, a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for skin protection, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for skin protection, which are used for dressings, plasters and the like which are adhered to the skin to protect the skin.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, as a skin-friendly skin pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a composition in which a large amount of a plasticizing component is mixed with an acrylic alkyl ester-based polymer pressure-sensitive adhesive and a polymer is cross-linked with a cross-linking agent has been developed and used for dressing and bandage applications. It was started.
For example, JP-A-3-220120 and JP-A-6-23029 disclose a (meth) acrylate copolymer having an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms and a liquid component compatible with the polymer. A cross-linked pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising:
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-65460 discloses a crosslinked pressure-sensitive adhesive containing an acrylate-based copolymer and a liquid component compatible with the polymer. An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet characterized in that the distance is 0.5 to 6 times the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has been proposed.
Further, JP-A-6-319793 discloses that an acrylic polymer contains an ester of a monobasic acid or polybasic acid having 8 to 18 carbon atoms and a branched alcohol having 14 to 18 carbon atoms and / or an ester having 14 to 18 carbon atoms. To 18 are unsaturated esters of unsaturated fatty acids or branched acids and alcohols having a valency of 4 or less and crosslinked by adding a liquid or pasty component at room temperature.
[0003]
However, the copolymers in the pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions proposed in these patents are all acrylic copolymers whose main monomer is an ester of an alcohol having an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms and (meth) acrylic acid. It is.
An ester comprising an alcohol having an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms and (meth) acrylic acid has a low polarity, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive copolymerized using them as a main monomer is a low-polarity pressure-sensitive adhesive. Compositions containing a mixture of soluble liquid components also have low polarity. Dressings and bandages made from such compositions in sheet form have low water vapor permeability and have the drawback that when applied to the skin for a long time, water vaporized from the skin stays on the skin surface and the skin becomes swollen.
[0004]
A patch for skin using acrylic acid alkoxyester which is a hydrophilic monomer has also been proposed. For example, JP-A-2-232048 discloses that 40 to 80% by weight of an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid alkyl ester monomer, 10 to 50% by weight of an alkoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and a carboxyl group-containing ethylene. A copolymer formed from 1 to 10% by weight of a unsaturated monomer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 250 ° K or less and a gel fraction after drying of 25% by weight or more. An external patch using a copolymer has been proposed. This medical pressure-sensitive adhesive is characterized in that it is dried at a high temperature of 130 ° C. and gelled to have cohesive strength. The necessity of such a high temperature in the processing stage has the disadvantage that the material is easily degraded and, if a plasticizer is added, the plasticizer is liable to volatilize.
[0005]
JP-A-4-272754 proposes a medical pressure-sensitive adhesive containing more than 50% by weight of a unit derived from an alkoxyalkyl acrylate having a homopolymer Tg of -35 ° C or lower. In the present invention, methoxyethyl acrylate is positively excluded as inappropriate. Also, as shown in Comparative Examples described later, a copolymer mainly composed of butoxyethyl acrylate, which is a representative alkoxyalkyl acrylate of this patent, and lauryl acrylate was not improved in water swellability and the feeling of discomfort was not improved. .

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a dressing, a bandage, etc., which has a high water vapor absorption property and therefore has little stuffiness to the skin at the time of application, less skin pain and keratin damage at the time of peeling, and which fits the skin well. An object of the present invention is to provide a skin-protecting pressure-sensitive adhesive, a skin-protecting pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and a skin-protecting pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet to be used.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of repeated studies to solve the above problems, the present inventor found that only 40 to 60% by weight of methoxyethyl acrylate, 30 to 38% by weight of lauryl (meth) acrylate, and 10 to 25% by weight of polar monomer were used. When a skin protective adhesive consisting of a copolymer as a constituent component meets this purpose, and is used for applications other than percutaneous absorption such as dressings and adhesive plasters, it has a high water vapor absorption property and therefore stuffiness on the skin when applied. The present invention was found to have a small feeling, to have little pain and exfoliation of the skin upon exfoliation, and to be excellent in fitting well to the skin, and completed the present invention.
[0014]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to claim 1, wherein the main monomer is 40 to 60% by weight of methoxyethyl acrylate, the second monomer is 30 to 38% by weight of lauryl (meth) acrylate, and the third monomer is 10 to 10% by weight. It is composed of a copolymer in which only 25% by weight of a polar monomer is combined, and is used for purposes other than percutaneous absorption. The skin protective pressure-sensitive adhesive achieves high water vapor permeability and good pressure-sensitive adhesive properties by using methoxyethyl acrylate having high hydrophilicity and also tackiness as a main monomer. Although other commercially available pressure-sensitive adhesives based on alkoxyalkyl acrylate were studied, only methoxyethyl acrylate was useful. For example, butoxyethyl acrylate itself has a relatively low cohesive force, and the adhesive mainly containing the monomer becomes abnormally soft and extremely low in cohesive force when a plasticizing component is added at a high concentration. Crosslinking does not result in a practical skin-protecting adhesive composition.
[0015]
The proportion of methoxyethyl acrylate in the copolymer in the present invention is from 40 to 60% by weight, preferably from 45 to 55% by weight. If the proportion is 60% by weight or more, gelation tends to occur during the polymerization, which tends to be insoluble, and the resulting copolymer has poor adhesion. On the other hand, if it is less than 40% by weight, the high water vapor permeability of methoxyethyl acrylate cannot be exhibited, which is not suitable for the purpose of the present invention.
[0016]
In the present invention, 30 to 38% by weight of lauryl (meth) acrylate is required as the second monomer constituting the copolymer.
Lauryl (meth) acrylate is used for the purpose of improving the adhesive properties of the skin protective pressure-sensitive adhesive of the present invention, and when the ratio of lauryl (meth) acrylate in the copolymer is 38% by weight or more, the copolymer is used. Becomes more hydrophobic and the water vapor permeability decreases. On the other hand, if it is less than 30% by weight, the adhesive properties are reduced, and a desirable skin protective adhesive cannot be obtained.
[0017]
When 2-ethylhexyl (meth) acrylate, butyl acrylate, or the like, having an alkyl chain shorter than that of lauryl (meth) acrylate, is used as the second monomer, the polarity of the copolymer becomes too high, and when the adhesive is applied, the pressure-sensitive adhesive due to sweat may be damaged. It becomes extremely soft by swelling. When stearyl acrylate having a long alkyl chain length is used as the second monomer, the tackiness of the copolymer becomes poor, which is not suitable.
[0018]
The copolymer in the present invention requires 10 to 25% by weight of a polar monomer as the third monomer. The reason for its existence is to obtain a higher cohesive force without impairing other properties, and also to crosslink the adhesive.
The reason that the ratio of the polar monomer is 10 to 25% by weight is that if the content is less than 10% by weight, it is difficult to obtain a desired high cohesive force, and if it exceeds 25% by weight, the polarity of the pressure-sensitive adhesive becomes too high. This is because the wettability is reduced and appropriate tackiness cannot be obtained. When the content is in the range of 10 to 25% by weight, the balance between the cohesive force and the adhesive force as the skin-protecting adhesive becomes good.
[0019]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to claim 2 is characterized in that the polar monomer is composed of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and a crosslinkable monomer.
The skin protective adhesive according to claim 3, wherein the crosslinkable monomer is at least one selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, and dimethylacrylamide. .
The pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to claim 4 is characterized in that the crosslinkable monomer is acrylic acid and / or 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to claim 5 has a water swelling degree of 2.0 to 5.0%.
[0020]
When the water swelling degree is high, the skin is easily peeled off due to sweating when applied to the skin for a long time, and when it is low, the water vapor absorption property is reduced, so that the sensation on the skin at the time of application is increased and the skin is painful at the time of peeling. And 2.0 to 5.0% is preferable because of increased keratin damage.
The method for measuring the water swelling degree is described below.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive solution prepared by a predetermined method is applied onto a 75 μm-thick polyester separator so that the thickness after drying becomes 80 μm, and dried to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is obtained by bonding a polyester film having a thickness of 40 μm as a support to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer thus obtained, and the obtained pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is punched to a diameter of 3.0 cm to prepare a sample.
Next, the obtained sample is immersed in water, left at 36 ° C. for 24 hours, taken out, air-dried for 10 minutes, and weighed before and after immersion to determine a water swelling ratio.
[0021]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for skin protection according to claim 6, wherein the highly polar plasticizing substance is contained in the pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to any one of claims 2 to 5, based on 100 parts by weight of the acrylic copolymer. 30 to 200 parts by weight, and further post-crosslinked.
The amount of the high-polarity plasticizing substance added is small, the plasticizing effect is small, and does not contribute to the improvement of the effect of reducing skin pain and keratin damage at the time of exfoliation. The amount is preferably 30 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the copolymer.
[0022]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for protecting skin according to claim 7, wherein the highly polar plasticizing substance is at least selected from the group consisting of octyldodecyl lactate, diisostearyl malate, polyoxyethylene almond oil, and polyoxyethylene kyonin oil. It is characterized by being a kind.
Plasticizing substances other than those described above, for example, in the case of a hydrophilic substance such as polyethylene glycol and glycerin, the polarity is too high and the solubility in the acrylic copolymer is small, so that a good plasticizing effect is exhibited. I want to. Further, low-polarity plasticizing substances such as isopropyl myristate and isopropyl palmitate have low solubility in the present copolymer and low water vapor permeability of the composition dissolved in the range of saturation solubility, and the plasticity used in the present invention is low. Is not preferred as a chemical substance.
[0023]
When the plasticizing substance is added to the acrylic copolymer, it becomes extremely soft and the cohesive strength is reduced. In order to provide practical cohesive strength, a crosslinking agent is further added, and the acrylic copolymer is post-crosslinked. It is necessary to increase the cohesive force by doing so.
The crosslinking agent is added for the purpose of increasing the cohesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, for example, isocyanate-based, metal chelate-based and the like, the amount of which is based on 100 parts by weight of the copolymer 0.01 to 2 parts by weight is preferred. If the amount is less than 0.01 part by weight, the crosslinking property is poor and does not contribute to the improvement of the cohesive strength, and if it exceeds 2 parts by weight, the adhesiveness is poor.
[0024]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for skin protection according to claim 8 has a water swelling degree of 1.5 to 4.5%.
The above-mentioned water swelling degree, when applied to the skin for a long time when it is high, it is easy to peel off due to sweating, and when it is low, the water vapor absorption is reduced. 1.5-4.5% is preferred because it increases keratinous damage.
The method for measuring the degree of water swelling is the same as that for the skin protective adhesive.
[0025]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for skin protection according to claim 9 is characterized in that a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin protection according to any one of claims 1 to 5 is formed on at least one surface of a support. .
[0026]
The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for skin protection according to claim 10 is characterized in that a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for skin protection according to any one of claims 6 to 8 is formed on at least one surface of a support. And
[0027]
The copolymer used in the present invention can be produced, for example, by radical polymerization using the first to third monomers. As the polymerization method, for example, solution polymerization, emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization and the like can be adopted. In particular, solution polymerization is favorable in that the molecular weight distribution is relatively narrow and the variation in adhesive strength is small.
[0028]
In order to produce the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for skin protection of the present invention, for example, if necessary, the above-mentioned highly polar plasticizing substance, a crosslinking agent, etc. are added to a solution of the pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising the above-mentioned copolymer, and a knife is placed on a release paper. It may be applied by a coater, a roll coater or the like, dried at an oven temperature of 50 to 100 ° C. for 1 to 10 minutes, and then laminated so that the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer composed of the pressure-sensitive adhesive (composition) is in contact with the support.
[0029]
The thickness after drying of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer applied on the support as described above is preferably 30 to 120 μm. If the thickness is less than 30 μm, the adhesive strength of the adhesive is weak, while if it exceeds 120 μm, application and drying of the adhesive become difficult.
The support preferably has a thickness of 10 to 100 μm, and may take the form of a woven fabric, a nonwoven fabric, a porous membrane, or a film molded product. Woven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics and porous membranes are preferred in that they have good water vapor permeability, and film molded products are preferred in that they have good bacterial shielding and waterproof properties.
[0030]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, the present invention will be described with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In the following Examples and Comparative Examples, “parts” means “parts by weight” unless otherwise specified.
[0031]
(Examples 1 to 3, Comparative Examples 1 to 8)
200 g of ethyl acetate as a polymerization solvent, 0.005 g of azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator, and monomers (unit: g) shown in Table 1 below were charged into a 500 ml reaction vessel, and the inside of the reaction vessel was purged with nitrogen. Thereafter, polymerization was performed at 70 ° C. for 15 hours. The obtained copolymer solution is coated on a release-treated polyethylene terephthalate film using a knife coater set so that the dry thickness of the adhesive layer becomes 100 μm, and the solvent is dried at a temperature of 90 ° C. for 15 minutes. After that, it was transferred to a polyethylene terephthalate nonwoven fabric (basis weight = 70 g / square meter) to produce an adhesive sheet.
The obtained pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet was cut into a size of 50 mm in diameter, affixed to the inner side of a human upper arm, adhered to the skin after 24 hours, and the state of peeling of the skin after peeling was visually observed and determined. Table 1 shows the obtained results.
[0030]
The sticking property was determined based on the following criteria, and an average value of five persons was determined.
:: 90% or more of the adhered area adhered, no adhesive residue △: 50-90% adhered, no adhesive residue x: Less than 50% adhered And the average value of five persons was determined.
:: There is almost no skin unevenness or redness.
Δ: There is a clear feeling of unevenness and there is also redness.
×: There are water droplets on the skin or the skin is swollen.
