Specifically, does it refer to the field of IoT portable devices for safety from harmful events? of man.

? Description of the prior art (Background)

? it is commonly known that, for some decades, personal safety has been a topic of strong collective interest.

I'm more and more in fact, frequent episodes of personal assaults, thefts, robberies, acts of violence for sexual purposes or even mere acts of hooliganism against people in means of transport, in the workplace and/or in their own homes.

Not otherwise can? to be said in reference to accidents caused by leaks of carbon monoxide or other gases, fires, etc..

Suffice it to say that in Italy there were a total of 255,886 home burglaries throughout the country in 2015, 234,726 in 2016 and 214,053 in 2017.

Furthermore, in 2017, the Fire Brigade intervened approximately 325,941 times, between fires and explosions, which means 893 interventions per day.

It is therefore indisputable that these events constitute, to date, a social scourge to be prevented and fought with every means available.

It must also be added that in the population ? there is a widespread common feeling that, in the face of these events, the protection offered by the forces of order is completely inadequate, both as regards prevention and control of the territory, and for the timing and methods? intervention when such events are reported.

This situation encourages, therefore, above all the actions of petty crime, such as thefts, personal assaults for the purpose of robbery, rape, in which the perpetrators act in the conviction of not serving any sentence.

Faced with the prospect of a sudden or sinister attack, at present, the ordinary citizen essentially has no effective defense tool at his disposal.

Over the years, therefore, various devices have been invented and designed in order to protect the user from potential external threats.

In the prevailing category we find, for example, the inventions that allow the user to send a request for help every time he finds himself in a dangerous situation.

Once activated, these devices send a distress signal, generally consisting of an automatic data or voice call to the police, healthcare personnel, specially organized services and, when activated, they understand the position in which they are and communicate this information to the bodies responsible for providing assistance.

In particular, it is mostly of alarm systems whose position is traced through a telecommunications network to which they are connected either through the GPS system, or through the tracing of a short-range radio frequency signal.

Often, however, these inventions do not reach the pre-established objective, as the user, in the immediacy of the dangerous situation (aggressions, accidents, etc.) does not always have the possibility? to activate the device.

Furthermore, the rescue services are not always able to be punctual, so it is not possible to avoid the prejudicial consequences for the safety of the workers. and safety of the user, due to the lack of timeliness? of intervention.

In fact, in the state of the art, various devices for personal safety are also known, such as detectors, sensors and alarms of various types: smoke, intrusion, toxic gases, etc.

These devices are mainly designed to be positioned in fixed structures (for example, installed in buildings of different uses, homes, offices, etc.) which considerably limit the range of action which remains limited to the specific place where it is installed.

Furthermore, these safety devices in fixed installations, the pi? sometimes, they do not offer wide-ranging protection, guaranteeing coverage only with respect to the detection of some toxic substances, as well as not giving any guarantee, in terms of correct functionality. often caused by poor preventive or corrective maintenance, inadequate installation, etc.?

Furthermore, in the event of poisoning or intoxication with carbon monoxide and other toxic gases, these systems are not designed to provide warnings or information in real time to alert the user, the victim's family or rescue personnel.

Another disadvantage? constituted by the fact that these inventions are designed exclusively to alert the individual of individual dangers, as they are not equipped with sensors combined with each other in a mode? integrated; There? determines the protection of the individual only for unique categories of threats detected by sensors that recognize only that particular danger (e.g. anti-theft alarm, control systems to monitor and prevent gas leaks, fire alarm system, etc..).

This situation is aggravated by the absence in many types of devices of the Bluetooth and wi-fi connection and, therefore, to an internet network, precluding a series of functions, including the connection with other devices, for example Smartphones, PCs, systems data collection etc, and remote management.

There does not seem to exist on the market a similar device that can find a generalized application with an integrated system of detection sensors.

Finally, another disadvantage? constituted by the significant costs of these inventions, which actually prevent and hinder their diffusion on a large scale.

?Description of the invention

In this scenario, the technical task underlying the present invention? devise a device for personal safety that can protect the user simultaneously from a plurality? of threats and that at the same time responds to the need for practicality? and simplicity? of use.

The general purpose of disclosure? that of overcoming the problems of the prior art by providing a portable, rechargeable and easy to use alarm system.

Said aim is achieved through a portable device for personal safety, framed in the IoT (Internet of Things) field, that is, so-called objects ?smart? interconnected to each other in order to exchange the information possessed, collected and/or processed, which can be contacted on the basis of standard communication protocols.

The particular purpose of the present invention ? develop a device for the user's safety, which can thus manage in advance the occurrence of situations prejudicial to his safety, through an alarm system, in order to safeguard the user's position in the event of situations of danger.

This result is obtained through a portable device capable of collecting and collecting data from each sensor present in the device through continuous and constant monitoring.

Thanks to various internal algorithms, with instantaneous processing, the new data collected are compared each time with those stored, in an internal memory, relating to previous measurements and with the danger limit values.

Based on factors such as: speed? of the increase in the values, the difference with the previous values, the proximity to the limit values, it is possible to establish and, in some cases, to predict by anticipating any potentially dangerous situations such as fire, harmful gases present in the air, intrusion, etc. that the user of the device can intervene or have more? time to reach a safe place.

This result is obtained through a portable device composed of:

- a central body,

- a luminous ring,

- a button to activate and deactivate the smoke, temperature and humidity sensor,

- a button to activate and deactivate the loudspeaker, - a button to activate and deactivate the motion sensors,

- a button to activate and deactivate the sensor for detecting carbon monoxide (CO) and any other harmful gases,

- a button to activate and deactivate the Bluetooth and Wi-fi connection,

- a button for turning the device on and off,

- one USB-C input,

- a lace.

The aforementioned central body has small circular openings in the external walls that allow the analysis of the quality? of? air and release a? information if they record a certain quantity? of CO (or other noxious gases), smoke, or a certain temperature and humidity threshold is exceeded; Furthermore ? equipped with sensors that perceive movements in the control area, such as, for example, a possible opening of the door in which it is? The invention has been positioned, thus allowing to prevent dangerous intrusions by ill-intentioned people.

If one or more occur of these events, for which the related functions have been activated, the device activates a loudspeaker with acoustic alarm and a luminous ring with optical alarm.

The user can, therefore, activate one or more? functions before any event and be alerted as soon as the device detects, in relation to the required functions, the dangers for which ? been activated.

What is disclosure? conceived therefore provides some relevant advantages.

The main advantage of the device lies in the fact that it allows the user?s simultaneous protection from a vast range of dangers (thefts, fires, smoke poisoning, attacks, etc..) of sensors, suitable for the detection and signaling of potential threats that interact with an alarm system.

A second advantage lies in the fact that the device? equipped with a Bluetooth and Wifi connection which allows interaction with Smartphones, PCs and possibly a 3G/4G/5G data connection with a telephone sim card.

This feature allows the development of a personal safety system, which guarantees accurate and efficient protection for the user, wherever he is, through the use of a specialized portable personal safety and communication device integrated with sensors, acoustic and optical alarm, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection.

This last feature allows the communication of the information processed through mobile and fixed network connections between devices in real time automatically, without the user's help, contrary to what occurs in devices known to the art.

Another advantage? consisting of the practicality? and comfort? of use of the device, which in the preferred embodiment ? small, such that pu? be brought along easily (pockets, bag, suitcase, etc?).

This feature allows a multifaceted use, since, in addition to being easily transportable, the device is equipped with a strap connected to the central body which allows you to position it in the handles or other points wherever you are: home, office, vacation, means of transport, boat, hospital, hotel, etc.

Furthermore, the sensors capable of detecting carbon monoxide or any other harmful gases are of fundamental use if you think that in Italy carbon monoxide is the main and most common cause of fatal poisoning.

The official statistics, pi? recent ones, carried out on the Italian territory, report 500-600 deaths per year (underestimated figure, as it does not include the many cases of intoxication, especially accidental or non-fatal cases, which are not correctly diagnosed and recorded).

A further advantage of the device, according to a preferred embodiment, lies in the fact that the device is equipped with an internal battery, which pu? be easily recharged through a cable inserted into the appropriate USB-C input and can therefore be activated even in the event of a sudden blackout.

The above mentioned objects are entirely obtained in accordance with the contents of the claims.

? however evident how each embodiment of the present disclosure can present one or more? of the advantages listed above; in any case not ? however, it is required that each embodiment simultaneously exhibit all of the listed advantages.

?Description of at least one way of carrying out the invention with reference to the drawings

As illustrated in Figs. 1-6 the present invention ? an alarm device composed of a central body 1 equipped in the external part with small circular holes 11, which allow the passage of air (Fig.4), and a plurality? of buttons 3,4,5,6,7,8, easily operated by the user, which correspond to specific functions that serve for the activation or deactivation of special sensors suitable for detecting smoke, temperature, humidity, movement, in addition to ? activation of a loudspeaker, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection and when switching the device on and/or off (Figs. 1-6).

In a preferred embodiment the sensitivity? of the vibrator? ranging from 10mV/g to 100mV/g, the CO sensor between 0 - 20ppm (normal), 21 to 1500ppm (detected); the smoke sensor between 0 - 0.4%/ft (normal), 0.5-3.8%/ft (detected).

The functions can be manually activated and controlled by the user, who can? decide which function(s) to activate depending on the situation. The device, ? also equipped with an optical and acoustic alarm which can be perceived by the user through a luminous ring 2 and a loudspeaker.

The central body 1 ? connected to a strap 10 which allows the device to be hung or hooked easily to door handles and/or other strategic points, wherever one is.

In a preferred embodiment the device comprises: ESP32-WROVER-I ? Microcontrollers; MCP73871-2CCI/ML ? Battery charge regulator; RE46C112E8F ? Ionization Smoke Detector Controller; RE46C141S16TF ? Photoelectric Smoke Detector Controller; TGS5141 - Carbon Monoxide Detector Regulator; 83-17985 -Temperature Sensor Regulator; MPU-6050- 3-Axis -Gyroscope/Accelerometer Controller; SW-420 -Vibration switch; TMB12A03 - Buzzer.

The device also maintains an operating voltage equal to 3.7V Lipo Battery and an operating current equal to 22mA (sleep), 70mA (normal), 182mA (detected).

The user has the possibility? to realize the danger situation through an RGB LED indicator that changes color in relation to the detected state (light blue-normal, red-detected, blue-managed) and pu? contextually control it using the Apple/Android application.

In a preferred embodiment, the operation of the buttons takes place in the following way:

Before connection: Power button: change the light level (single press), turn off the device (long press);

- CO button: Turn on/off the CO gas sensor (single press);

- Fire button: turn on/off the smoke sensor (single press);

- Movement button: Turn on/off the vibration sensor (single press);

- Volume button: Turn on/off alarm sound (single press), turn on mode panic 2s (long press);

- Wifi button: mode? connection (single press), mode? connection (long pressure);

- Device reset: 10s Press the CO and Fire buttons simultaneously. After connection:

- Power button: change the light level (single press), turn off the device (long press);

- CO button: Turn on/off the CO gas sensor (single press);

- Fire button: turn on/off the smoke sensor (single press);

- Motion button: Turn on/off the vibration sensor (single press; Volume button: Turn on/off the alarm sound (single press), activate panic mode 2s (long press);

- Wifi button: Wifi scan, automatically go to wifi mode. connection if not Wifi store (Single Press), Mode? of association (Long Press).

- Device reset: 10s Press CO and Fire buttons simultaneously, factory reset.

Will the device reconnect? automatically Wi-Fi, if the device ? paired state both before and after connection (Without pressing any button).

The device ? able, moreover, to pass every 3 min to the modality? Sleep Mode and every 15 min to the mode? Wake Up.

Finally, the electrical system includes:

- GreenPak Power Management Controller;

- Photoelectric circuit and ionization smoke detector;

- IO pins / circuit diagram sensors;

- Button circuit diagram (Fig.8);

- Circuit diagram of RGB LEDs.

It is clear that disclosure, so described and devised, allows to achieve the pre-established aims.

The object of the invention? susceptible to numerous modifications and variations of a practical-application nature, all falling within the inventive concept expressed in the attached claims.

All the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements and the materials may be different according to requirements, without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention. The above description of some specific embodiments? able to show the invention from a conceptual point of view so that others, using the prior art, will be able to modify and/or adapt this specific embodiment in various applications without further research and without departing from the inventive concept, and, therefore, intends that such adaptations and modifications will be considered as equivalent to the specific embodiment.

It is understood that the expressions or terminology used have a purely descriptive and therefore non-limiting purpose.

All the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements, and the materials may be different according to requirements, without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention. Even if the object ? been described with particular reference to the accompanying figures, the reference numbers used in the description and in the claims are used to improve understanding of the invention and do not constitute any limitation to the claimed scope of protection.

Claims (5)

1. IoT (Internet of Things) portable alarm device for personal safety comprising an Internet of Things system, a detection system and an alarm system, consisting of: - a central body (1), - a luminous ring (2), - a button to activate and deactivate the smoke, temperature and humidity sensor? (3), - a button to activate and deactivate a loudspeaker (4), - a button to activate and deactivate the motion sensors (5), - a button to activate and deactivate the sensor for detecting carbon monoxide (CO) and any other harmful gases (6), - a button to activate and deactivate the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi(7) connection, - a button for switching the device on and off (8), - a USB-C input (9), - a lace (10), - a loudspeaker, characterized by the fact that said detection system ? composed of a plurality of smoke, humidity, movement, temperature, carbon monoxide or other harmful gas sensors, which can also be activated simultaneously manually using buttons (3,4,5,6,7,8) which assume at least two different configurations: a rest when said buttons (3,4,5,6,7,8) are not pressed and an operative position when said buttons (3,4,5,6,7,8) are pressed, being all connected to said control system detection. 2. Device according to claim 1 wherein said detection system ? connected to said alarm system. 3. Device according to claim 1 and 2 wherein said sensors are placed inside said central body (1) and operate said alarm system, said system being both optical and acoustic by respectively means of said luminous ring (2) and said loudspeaker . 4. Device according to claim 1, wherein said central body (1) ? also made up of a plurality? of circular holes (11), which allow the passage and the analysis of the air. 5. Device according to claim 1, wherein said device also comprises an integrated rechargeable battery.
