Abstract

Yarn supply system esp. for weaving machines, comprises a fixed box-like drum (4) with spaced lengthwise peripheral bars (11), upon which turns of yarn are laid by a rotary arm (2) coaxial with the drum. The yarn turns are advanced along the drum by a frustoconical coaxial disc (3), and the arm (2) rotates close to the disc (3) and between it and a partition wall (17) in a dust and lint confinement space. Specifically the bars (11) on the drum (4) project into holes (14) near the rim of the disc (3) which also has slots (15) for cleansing air streams generated by the rotary arm (2). Dust and lint cannot enter the plastic box-like drum (4) nor settle elsewhere because of the air streams.
