Abstract
The enriching of the haemodialysis solution with ferric 5 pyrophosphate (12 mg/dl or 120mg/lt) has been proven to be safe and the iron quantity sufficient in order to maintain the iron balance in the majority of patients subjected to haemodialysis. Furthermore, non-bound iron is hardly liberated due to the ferric pyrophosphate chemical features.
