967,312. Tables. CASTRO CONVERTIBLE CORPORATION. Feb. 23, 1962, No. 7239/62. Heading A4H. A table convertible from a low table to a dining table has legs 12 pivoted to the table top by means of arms 34 hinged to the top, the upper ends of legs 12 being pivoted to slides 36 movable on radial guide rods 38 and urged towards the higher position by tension springs 58, 60. The legs are moved by means of a rotatable spider 48 connected to slides 36 by links 47 and having an operating lever 54. When the table is moved to the upper position portion 68 integral with arms 34 pass through openings 66 and leaves 18 are raised relative to frame 16 and can then be rotated and opened out. Springs 58, 60 assist raising of the table. Springs 74 cushion the lowering of the table and assist in raising.
