Abstract

958,440. Two-part couplings. H. KOLBE, and H. KOHLER, [trading as FUBA ANTENNEWERKE, H. KOLBE & H. KOHLER]. June 1, 1962 [July 14, 1961], No. 21271/62. Heading H2E. A plug consists of two or more pins 1, 2, each mounted in an insulating sheath 3, 4, the sheaths being interconnected by one or more flexible resilient members 10, 11, directly connected between the sheaths, such that one pin is movable relative to another pin while retaining a spaced parallel relationship therebetween by direct manual pressure on the sheaths. As shown, webs 10, 11 are integral with the sheaths 3, 4 and are of resilient plastics material. Each pin 1, 2 is mounted in its sheath 3, 4 by a shoulder 5 locating in a groove 6 and the leads 7, 8 are soldered inside pins 1, 2. In a modification (Fig. 7, not shown), the two sheaths 3, 4 are joined by a resilient pad of foamed or the like material. In a further modification (Fig. 8, not shown), the two sheaths 3, 4 are joined by two compressible coil springs in telescopic housings.
