Abstract

942,330. Draught &c. excluders. BRIGHT MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Nov. 27, 1961 [Dec. 15, 1960], No. 43244/60. Heading E1J. In an excluder strip of the kind comprising an inverted U-section adapted to clip over a flange 2 immediately surrounding the aperture of a door &c., one limb of the U-section being secured to a sealing strip of rubber 4 with leaf 5 disposed to be contacted to seal the door &c. when closed and having a lip 6 designed to engage the part 7 of the frame, the lip 6 has a bead 8 which when the strip is in position upon the flange is severable from the strip; being drawn between that lip 6 and part 7 to position the lip in its correct operative position to exclude moisture from getting under the strip and on to the flange 2. The U-section portion may comprise a clip 1 or series of clips covered by material 3 and the sealing strip may be sewn or otherwise attached to the material and the clips may have sharp point tangs for frictionally engaging the flange 2.
