Abstract
933,758. Electromagnets. ELEMAG-ANSTALT. March 20, 1962 [March 20, 1961], No. 10647/62. Class 35. [Also in Group XXIX] A glandless solenoid valve comprises a valve member 7 connected to an armature plunger 18 operated by an energizing winding 24, the plunger being loaded in the closing direction of the valve by an adjustable spring 46 disposed inside a hollow magnetic core or polepiece 36, an axial air gap " S " between the plunger and the polepiece being adjustable, and the plunger being sealed off from the controlled fluid by a bellows 22. The spring is adjustable by an abutment 47 screwed into the core 36 and the core itself by screwed engagement with the solenoid casing. The plunger is guided in a brass sleeve 35 which extends half way up a former 30 from the bottom thereof.
