Fluid flow from an inlet 29 to a pair of outlets 30, 31 is controlled by a double-beat valve on a spring-loaded stem 15, having a projection 16 on a plate 14 that engages an edge cam 6c on a member 6 rotatable by a knob 7 passing through a guide 4 supported by struts 2. An extension 14a of the plate 14 abuts one of the struts 2 to prevent rotation of the plate. The valve is employed in a heating system, the inlet 29 being connected to the circulating pump whilst one outlet is connected to a boiler inlet pipe and the other to the boiler outlet pipe.
