927,990. Tentering fabrics. GEWEBEAUSRUSTUNGSMASCHINEN KARL-MARXSTADT VEB. March 6, 1962, No. 8656/62. Class 42 (2). A tenter clip has a clip arm 4 pivoted at 3 over a supporting surface 2 and a pin arm 8 pivotable into an inoperative position and which is mounted on the clip arm 4. A clamping bar 5 and a feeler roller 6 are mounted on the arm 4, the roller 6 extending into a recess 7 in the surface 2. A pin bar 9 is mounted on the arm 8 which, together with the roller 6, is pivoted at 10. When the arm 4 is in use the arm 8 is retained in its upward position, Fig. 1, by a strip 11 engaging a projection 12, a bar 13 protecting the pin points. In use, Fig. 3, the arm 8 swings the bar 5 away from the surface 2. A stop 14 engaging the recess 7 limits the movement of the arm 8 and a pin 16 is urged by a spring 15 into a recess 17 on the arm 8 to prevent accidental upward pivoting thereof. The arms 4, 8 are controlled by stops 20, 19 respectively.
