Abstract

926,030. Furniture joints; collapsible frameworks. G. AUBERT. March 9, 1962 [April 14, 1961], No. 9274/62. Classes 52 (1) and 51 (2). Trapezoid-shaped slots are spaced along the sides of metal U-shaped uprights to receive flanged blocks of corresponding shape. These blocks may be attached to brackets for supporting shelves 8, 9, 10. Alternatively two such blocks form a bearing block 28 for joining two uprights side-by-side, or vertically above one another by the insertion of a plate 41 (see Fig. 6). Back walls 51 have slotted lateral flanges to be secured to correspondingly slotted uprights by the bearing-blocks 28. Vertical partitions 61, 62 have rolled edges which are held in place by clips 66 which are screwed at 67 to the edge of corresponding shelves.
