Abstract

The device is mounted on an insulator (3, Fig 5) by grips 9, 10 and has rollers 5, 6 mounted on frames (23, 24, Fig 5) which pivot vertically on pins (7, 8). The pivotable frames allow the rollers to be swung into position and bring the cable between the rollers into contact with the insulation (Fig 5). The distance between the grips 9, 10 is adjustable 14, 15. <IMAGE>
