Abstract

A sample tube comprises a tube (1) and piston means (4) so movable therein that opposed portions of the tube are separated one from the other in a substantially sealing manner. A first cover (6) at one end of the tube is adapted to be pierced by a hypodermic needle or the like and reseal after withdrawal thereof. A second cover (9) at an opposite end is adapted to allow communication, to atmosphere or to a vacuum generating device, of the tube portion adjacent thereto. <IMAGE>
