Abstract

Foamed polyurethane is made from the following ingredients: A a triethanolamine-propylene oxide condensate, a copolymer of propylene oxide with 10% of ethylene oxide, triethanolamine, water, and tri-(b -chloroethyl) phosphate as a flame retarder, and B a diphenyl-methane diisocyanate prepared by phosgenating crude diaminodiphenylmethane containing about 15% of poly-, mainly tri-amines, the latter being obtained by condensing formaldehyde with aniline in the presence of hydrochloric acid. The presence of tri-amino groups produces rapid curing without additional triamines.ALSO:Foamed polyurethane is made from the following ingredients:- A a triethanolamine-propylene oxide condensate, a copolymer of propylene oxide with 10% of ethylene oxide, triethanolamine, water, and tri-(b -chloroethyl) phosphate as a flame retarder, and B a diphenylmethane diisocyanate prepared by phosgenating crude diaminodiphenylmethane containing about 15% of polymainly tri-amines, the latter being obtained by condensing formaldehyde with aniline in the presence of hydrochloric acid.
