878,591. Suction cleaners. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 30, 1960 [Oct. 5, 1959], No. 33682/59. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner of the kind having a main rotary brush stock 2 with brushes 3, 4, 5 and 6 helically disposed with respect to the axis of rotation operating over a swept width less than the overall width of the cleaner casing or having auxiliary brushes 9 and 10 set in a synthetic plastic material and housed in brush clips one at either side of the casing to extend the total swept width over which the cleaner is operative. The cleaner which has front and rear rollers has its rear rollers vertically adjustable and likewise the rotary brush shaft 24 by means of the eccentrics 25.
