Abstract
857,965. Satchels ; knapsacks. LEWIN, A. P. June 26, 1959 [July 2, 1958], No. 21137/58. Class 133. A satchel has a pair of straps 2 fixed at their ends 2a to the upper part and a detachable connector 9 for the other ends 2b of the straps 2 to form a shoulder'sling, as well as attachment means e.g. buckles 14 on the lower part of the satchel to which the straps ends 2b may alternatively be attached to form arm loops of rucksack type. The connector 9 has buckles 11 and a keeper loop 12, and the straps 2 are attached to the satchel body by D-rings 4 engaged in sleeves 5 carried by metal plates 6 secured to the rear wall 3 and covered by discs 7.
