Abstract

855,020. Catamenial appliances. COSETTE Ltd., [formerly COSETTE (LINGERIE) Ltd.]. June 25, 1959 [June 25, 1958], No. 20363/58. Class 81(2) [Also in Group VII] Knickers made of "stretch nylon" &c. are provided with a detachable waterproof crotch-lining retained in position, together with a sanitary towel, by loops or pockets at the front and rear of the garment crotch. In one embodiment, the ends 5 of the lining 4 are looped around transverse strips 1 and secured by snap fasten-. ers 7, the ends 5 being passed through the loops 9 of a sanitary towel 8 prior to engagement with the strips. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the ends of the lining and a loopless sanitary towel are tucked into inwardly facing pockets at the front and rear of the crotch portion. The crotch-lining preferably comprises polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene sheet.
