Abstract

844,251. Rearing appliances. COPE, WHELON & CO. Ltd. Aug. 6, 1958 [May 6, 1957], No. 14387/57. Class 5(2). A breeding compartment, particularly for use with the cage structure described in Specification 844,250, comprises a metal box 1 having an entrance 5 at one end, and a sliding swing or removable door along one slide. As shown in the drawings, the compartment is provided with a sliding door 6. The bottom 2 of the box is open, and a mesh floor 3 is supported just above the level of the bottom, the edge 11 of the floor which is nearest the door 6 being bent through a right angle to prevent the exit of the animals within the compartment when the door is opened.
