Abstract
821,480. Chain gearing. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. June 4, 1957 [June 11, 1956], No. 17730/57. Class 80 (1). [Also in Group XXV] Some of each set of inner side-plates of a roller chain (seen partly in section in Fig. 4, so that the inner plates 16 appear in front), have extensions 17 to reduce noise in running, and curved inner edges which bear on resilient material 20 mounted on the chain-wheel. The described embodiment is a double chain and only the plates 15, 16, Fig. 5, are affected, the plates 14 which do not engage the teeth 18, 19 being conventional.
