Abstract

828,606. Hydro-pneumatic springs; road vehicle spring suspensions. MOULTON DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. March 12,1957 [Jan. 5, 1956], No. 433/56. Classes 108(2) and 108(3) In an independent rear suspension, the upper end 12 of a wheel carrying member 1 forms a piston which is connected by a rubber diaphragm to a cylinder 14. The piston 12 is oppositely tapered in relation to the taper of the cylinder 14. A connection 18 may lead to a hydraulic accumulator. In a modification, as applied to a front suspension, a separate conical shaped piston is carried by the rod 1. Specifications 793,772, 810,191, 813,259, and 828,607 are referred to.
