Abstract

826,986. Two-part couplings. SUNBEAM CORPORATION. Sept. 28, 1956 [April 2, 1956], No. 29715/56. Class 38 (1). In order to prevent the insertion of the wrong plug into a connector 12, for example of an electric frying pan, the connector 12 has ribs 16a co-operating with grooves 24 in the plug 18. The plug contacts 19 are each split into two or more resilient parts, as shown, into three parts 20, the plug body comprising two parts 18a, 18b and a coil spring 23 protecting the conductor 17. The pins 14 are secured'in the connector 12 by nuts. Specification 772,268, [Group XI], is referred to.
