Abstract

<PICT:0801735/IV (a)/1> <PICT:0801735/IV (a)/2> A pipe 1, Fig. 1, conveying solution to a spinning apparatus, is provided with a cylindrical opening 3 in which is fitted an elastic stopper 4 provided with a cut-out slot 7 normally closed by the pressure of the wall of the opening 3 on the stopper and through which the connecting pipe 8 of a pressure-measuring device 9 may be introduced. The stopper 4 may be held in position by a cap 5 or clip, or a bead on the stopper may engage a recess in the opening 3 or vice versa. The stopper 4 may be slightly elliptical, as shown in Fig. 2, to increase the pressure on the sides 12 of the slot 7. For low-viscosity liquids the pipe 8 of the apparatus 9 may be slightly flattened.
