763,470. Sleeping bags. DAHL, R. C. April 27, 1955 [Jan. 27, 1954], No. 2462/54. Class 133. [Also in Group X] A sleeping bag comprises a mattress of elongated rectangular form having lower and upper thicknesses 5, 6 of flexible textile material attached around parts of their edges and adapted to receive and retain cushioning means therein between the thicknesses, the mattress having attached to one of its longer sides, and extending from the bottom towards and nearly to the top, an additional thickness 15 of flexible textile material of such rectangular area that it can be turned over the mattress and its outer end tucked under the other longer edge thereof or erected as a tent-like structure thereover and with its outer end attached to the mattress, e.g. by studs 17 and co-operating parts on the mattress, together with another similar thickness 19, preferably overlapping the first, the whole having combined therewith means such as posts 21 and support cords 23-25 to hold up the tent-like structure. The mattress is divided into pockets 11-13 to receive inflatable or other resilient cushions and has at one end a pocket 26 to receive the feet of the user. Triangular flaps, not shown, may be attached at each end of the tent to close it.
