Abstract
754,680. Reservoir pens. AURORA SOC. PER AZIONI. July 14, 1954. [Aug. 26, 1953], No. 20584/54. Class 146(3) A reservoir pen has a reservoir formed of two separate cartridges 5, 6 which fit into a socket 7, such that the cartridges are aligned axially in a barrel 3. A nibholder 1 has a collar 2 screwed into the barrel 3. The nib-holder 1 has a sleeve 4 with a chamfered edge which perforates. diaphragms 9 in the ends of the cartridges when the nib-holder is screwed into the barrel 3. When the supply of ink in the cartridge 5 has been used the nib-holder is detached and the socket 7 removed front the barrel 3 and replaced, without the cartridge 5 but with the cartridge 6 adjacent the nib-holder 1. A ball 12, on a chain 11, indicates the absence of a cartridge at that end of the barrel 3 by striking against the barrel 3 when shaken.
