Abstract
728,312. Reservoir pens ; point protectors. HETTICH, H. Dec. 1, 1952 [Dec. 20, 1951], No. 30468/52. Class 146(3). A pen, especially for titling drawings with the use of stencils, comprises an ink reservoir 1 tapering at its lower end 2 towards a writing tube 3 which may be enclosed, when not in use, in an airtight manner within a recess 8 in the end of a penholder 7. As shown, the reservoir 1 is slidably held in a spring clip 5 pivoted to a leaf spring 6 attached to the penholder 7. A cleaning wire 9, slidable in a cap 4, is provided for cleaning the tube 3. In a modification, not shown, the spring clip for supporting the reservoir is adjustably clamped, by means of a nut to a slotted member attached to the penholder, while the cleaning wire is spring pressed upwardly from the writing tube.
