Abstract

690,309. Photographic-viewfinders. ETABLISSEMENTS EMEL. June 29, 1949, No. 13686/51. Divided out of 690,278. Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i). A viewfinder, the field of which can be adjusted according to the focal length of the camera objective to be used comprises an objective 1 forming a real inverted image in the plane of an adjustable diaphragm 5 viewed by a system comprising an objective 2 forming a real image of the image formed by the objective 1 viewed through an eyepiece 3, the objective 2 and eyepiece 3 being adjustable relative to the lens 1 in accordance with the adjustments of the diaphragm 5 so that the image 41 of the latter formed by the objective 2 is of constant size whatever the size of the diaphragm 5. The diaphragm 5 may consist of two L-shaped members arranged to form a rectangle and movable through equal distances along the diagonal of the rectangle. Specification 690,278 is referred to.
