Abstract
696,689. Jars; jacketed plastic hollow-Ware. INJECTION MOLDING CO. Nov. 17, 1950, No. 28215/50. Classes 66 and 125(i) A plastic container having a material receiving cavity shaped to facilitate the removal of creams, salves &c. has thin walls which are made double, in at least some parts, to present an exterior equal to that of an equivalent glass jar. A cavity 4 has thin inner walls 5, 6 extending to a threaded neck 12, to which a cap 3 is fitted, and thin outer walls 7 and base 8. The walls 5, 6, 7 may be moulded as a unit and the bottom 8 fused in position. The spaces 14, 15 give some heat insulation. An annular seat 9<SP>1</SP> of the cap 3 seats on the upper edge 9 of the container prior to any contact with the shoulder 10.
