Class 20(iii) A frame for supporting sheets A' of glass comprises a supporting member B<SP>1</SP> or B<SP>2</SP>, and a clamping member B engageable with' each other and forming a channel to receive the glass, the supporting member comprising a base strip formed in one with or attached to a side member b<SP>5</SP> substantially at right-angles thereto, the free edge of the base being bent into an arc b and engaging an arcuate portion b<SP>2</SP> formed on one edge of the base b<SP>1</SP> of the substantially triangular clamping member B, the other edge of the base b' being bent back over the base at an angle of 30 degrees to 40 degrees to form a second side b<SP>3</SP> and then into a vertical plane to form the third side b<SP>4</SP>. The clamping member is sprung into position with the portion b' compressing the putty or rubber around the glass, the lower edge of the part b<SP>4</SP> engaging the member B<SP>1</SP>. The member B<SP>1</SP> may be secured to a wooden frame or to a metal frame A<SP>2</SP>. In the partition construction shown in Fig. 3, the supporting member B<SP>2</SP> has an inclined portion b<SP>6</SP> between the vertical portion b<SP>5</SP> and an inturned flange b<SP>7</SP>, so that after assembly the members Band B<SP>2</SP> at each side of the panel appear identical.
