Class 108(i) In a large capacity vehicle body assembled from prefabricated parts, the front and rear end portions of the frame are secured only to the longitudinals of the side frame members. In the embodiment shown a single deck omnibus body comprises a front part 2 secured to the front ends of longitudinals 3, 4, 5 of the side frames 1 and a rear part 6 secured to the rear ends 3, 7, 8 of the side frames longitudinals. Between the front hoop 10 and the rear hoop 12 of the roof structure and the upper parts 9, 11 of the front and rear portions 2, 6, a gap is left which may be filled by wooden strips. A similar gap is left between the door opening 13 and the door frame (not shown).
