[Also in Group XL (a)] The leading-in wires of the electrodes 8 of a discharge lamp are sealed in slots in the rims 3, 4 of the sections 1, 2 of the container, and U- shaped contacts 21 are secured to the rims at these points, the ends of the contacts engaging in depressions 19, 20 in the rims.
