Abstract
Stable aqueous solutions of riboflavin are obtained by incorporating therein a lower aliphatic (e.g. ethyl or propyl) hydroxy amide of gentisic acid. Additional vitamins, e.g. vitamin B1, niacinamide, pantothenic acid and vitamin C may be added. Gentisic acid amides may be obtained by reacting a gentisic acid ester, e.g. methyl or ethyl gentisate, with a lower aliphatic hydroxy amine, e.g. monoethanolamine or isopropanolamine.ALSO:Stable aqueous solutions of riboflavin are obtained by incorporating therein a lower aliphatic (e.g. ethyl or propyl) hydroxy amide of gentisix acid. Additional vitamins, e.g. vitamin B, niacinamide, pantothenic acid and vitamin C may be added.
