[Classes 99(i) and 99(ii)] An extruded tube, for structural frameworks, of square external form has a circular bore c<SP>1</SP> and internal recesses b<SP>1</SP> located on the diagonals and at the corners of the tube, Fig. 1. Tube coupling members may.include circular pegs having on their periphery one or more lobes x<SP>1</SP> which enter the tube recesses, 'and relative rotation of a tube and peg causes the lobe or lobes to bind against the tube bore, Fig. 6. A rivet may pass through the tube and peg. Tubes having external corner recesses are described.
