[Classes 103(ii) and 108(i)] [Also in Group X] Motor vehicle doors 12 capable of swing- ing bodily away from the plane of the opening and of sliding along a track across and beyond it are carried by links 10 pivoted to them near the top, the other end of the links being pivoted to members 15, 16, carried in a straight guide rail 9; cooperating guide elements comprising upright rollers 64, 65, on the door engaging both sides of depending flanges 20, 21, on the doorway surround are provided near the lower edge of the door. Additional guides in the form of upright rollers 40 may be arranged at or near the top of the door moving within rails 42 as described in Specification 638,699.
