Abstract
633,446. Motor driving arrangements. RANZI, U. July 31, 1947, No. 20821. Convention date, Aug. 2, 1946. Addition to 628,967, [Group XXIV]. [Class 35] [Also in Group XXIV]. The armature B of an electric motor is connected to the driving casing 10b of a powder clutch situated within the motor casing 1 and having interleaved driving and driven discs 12b, 14b, respectively mounted on the casing 10b and a driven shaft D. As shown, the armature B surrounds the casing 10b, which is journalled on the shaft D, itself journalled in the motor casing 1, but the clutch may be mounted on one or other side of the armature, the latter being solid or bored to receive the shaft D accordingly.
