637,643. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. DOLE VALVE CO. July 27, 1944, No. 14366. Convention date, March 1. [Class 135] A mixing valve for fluids of different temperatures supplied to inlets 117 and 124 comprises valve members 143, 144 co-operating with seatings 145, 146 for controlling the flow of the two fluids into a mixing chamber 118 and to a mixed fluid outlet 120. The valve members 143, 144 are carried on a hollow member 125 which is divided centrally by a flexible membrane 129 supported on a fixed rod 128. Two chambers 147, 148 are thus provided in the member 125 open at 136, 137 to the inlet passages 117, 124 respectively. Outlet drains 149 and 150 from the chambers 147, 148 are controlled by a pilot valve member 153 actuated by a thermostatic element 154 in the mixing chamber 118. Thus according to the temperature of the mixed fluid the valve member 153 regulates the pressure in chambers 147, 148 to move the member 125, as allowed by the flexible membrane 129, one way or the other to close one valve member 143 or 144 on to its seating and raise the other. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the subject-matter of Specification 637,710. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
