Abstract

592,090. Honeycomb for bee-hives. CASES, J. R. Nov. 23, 1944, No. 23315. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1943. [Class 5 (ii)] Honeycomb is formed by juxtaposed strips of material formed into semi-hexagonal corrugations. Assemblies of such strips are attached end-on to faceted sheets 5 arranged in pairs and more widely separated at the base than above by spacers 10. Such spacers may be turned on edge to allow the cells and their supporting plates to be levered apart. An electric or other heater may rest on the spacers to loosen the wax and allow the honey to run out.
