Abstract
591,534. Catamenial tampons. SMITH & NEPHEW, Ltd., T. J., LOVATT, S., and BURLEY, D. W. Aug. 25, 1943, No. 13878. [Class 81 (ii)] Catamenial tampons are made as described in Specification 568,042 except that the line of stitching 26 passes only through the overlapping ends of the fabric sleeve 21, and not through the absorbent material 20. The ends of the sleeve may be turned in as shown in Figs. 13 or 15 before doubling over the cord 23. The tampons may be compressed as described in Specification 520,209.
