Abstract
587,607. Epicyclic gearing: LANCASTER, S. D. Nov. 17, 1944, No. 22862. [Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] In an electric motor having speed reduction gearing embodied within the motor casing 16, the spindle 19 of the motor armature is supported by an inner closure disc 17 and has an eccentric portion 20 which imparts a gyratory motion to a disc 22 carrying in internally and externally toothed ring 23. The external teeth of this ring engage with a fixed ring 26 mounted in the casing and the internal teeth engage with and drive a gear 32 secured to the output shaft 31 which is supported by an outer closure disc 28 of the casing.
