Abstract
574,788. Electric water heaters. LOW ELECTRICS, Ltd., A., and LOW, D. W. Feb. 18, 1944, No. 3115. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric water heater comprises a tank A having a cold water inlet A<1> near the bottom and a hot water outlet A' at the top, an immersion heating element B surrounded by a casing C in the tank with a cold water inlet E and a stand pipe D leading hot water to the top of the tank, a thermostat F in the tank immediately above the element B and a second thermostat G near the top of the tank, the thermostats being connected by a switch H so that the upper thermostat G may be cut out when the whole of the tank is to be heated.
