Abstract

548,914. Vehicle wheel tyres. SEIBERLING RUBBER CO. May 8, 1941, No. 6004. Convention date, July 19, 1940. [Class 144 (ii)] Transverse slits of J, inverted-T, or similar shape such as shown in Fig. 4, are cut in a tyre tread so that when the tread is worn down to the top of the leg 14a of the slit the piece 15 of the tyre is detached and is ejected as shown in Fig. 5. Slits may be cut to different depths as shown in Fig. 12. Fig. 11 shows slits of inverted-T shape.
