[Class 59] [Also in Group I] The distance apart of the grinding rollers is automatically varied in accordance with the temperature or humidity of the grain passing to or the meal leaving the mill. A thermometer in a trough through which the grain flows to the rollers may control a circuit regulating the position of one of the rollers or a hygrostat in a conditioner may control a similar circuit. In a modification a thermometer and a hygrostat in a plain sifter are used to vary the position of the one roller relatively to the other.
