Abstract

506,378. Fluid - actuated valves. JUNKERS & CO., GES. Dec. 30, 1938, No. 37841. Convention date, Dec. 30, 1937. [Class 135] [Also in Group XIII] In the liquid supply pipe of an instantaneous liquid flow heater, a throttle point 15 is located in front, viewed in the direction of liquid flow, of a Venturi tube 12, and between them is placed a guiding device 16 comprising a folded metal strip acting as a flow regulator and dividing the liquid from the throttle into uniformly directed streams which re-unite to form a combined jet flowing axially of the Venturi tube. Water flows through a throttle orifice 15 with a screwed adjustable member 15<1>. A spring- pressed gas valve 25 is connected by a spindle 24 to a diaphragm 18 dividing a casing 17 into two chambers 19, 20; the upper chamber 19 is connected through a pipe 21 with the neck of the Venturi tube, and the lower chamber is connected through a pipe 22 with the water supply at a point beyond the throttle 15'. The gas valve is opened by movement of the diaphragm on opening a hot water outlet tap 30.
