505,443. Nozzles. LUCE, A. DE, GARNER, S., GARNER, E., and VANCE, G. N. Nov. 10, 1937, No. 30807. [Class 69 (iii)] An adjustable jet and spray nozzle comprises a body portion a provided with a chamber b at one end and fitted on a stem h having a central bore h<2> and lateral outlets leading to the chamber b, the end h<5> of the stem forming a fit for a recess g<1> in an outlet nozzle f, and the arrangement being such that the body part can move longitudinally on the stem to vary the character of the spray. The part h<4> of the stein may be formed with spiral or helical grooves or threads to form a whirling spray.
