Abstract
489,128. Seats; brackets or supports. RENN, F. W. May 5, 1937, No. 12818. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (v)] A miniature seat or carrier adapted to be hung on the back of an ordinary seat has two or more hooks 10, 11, Fig. 1, hinged upon a common pivot so that the pair of hooks suited to the thickness of the seat back may be used and the remaining hooks folded. The seat comprises a frame 1, to which are hinged side arms 4 carrying at their outer ends links 5, with a cross-bar 6 at the ends of the links. The frame is upholstered, and carries a seat (not shown). The hooks 10, 11 are pivoted to brackets 8 which can be located in different positions by screws engaging one of a series of holes 7. For use where the seat back is sloped, the frame 1, Fig. 3, may be provided with a folding strut 15 at the rear, the strut being supported by links 16 detachably connected to the frame 1.
