Abstract
472,742. Securing pulleys on shafts. FUSION - MOTEURS. Feb. 23, 1937, No. 5433. Convention date, March 28, 1936. [Class 80 (ii)] A pulley 3 is detachably secured on a driving shaft 1 by means of an intermediate stubshaft 5, one end of which rigidly carries the pulley, whilst its other end is centred on, and has a toothed driving connection 9 with the driving shaft 1. The stub-shaft 5 is carried in a ball-bearing 6, arranged near the central plane of the pulley, and mounted in a flanged member 4, secured to the bearing-mounting 2 of the shaft 1, so as to be readily detachable, whereupon the assembly, comprising the stub shaft, flanged member and pulley, can be removed, and replaced by one including a member different from the pulley. The stubshaft 5 has a thrust-insert 14, and the flanged member 4 has oil-return holes 13.
