Abstract

463,628. Smallarms ; cartridges. HOWLETT, J. H., and GREENER, Ltd., W. W. Sept. 2, 1935, No. 24429. [Classes 9 (i) and 119] The striker 2, Fig. 3, of a smallarm is provided with one or more projections 5 extending forwardly beyond the firing-pin 4, and the cartridges for use with the gun are provided with corresponding recesses 8, Fig. 5, into which the projections enter to allow the firing-pin to reach the percussion cap 9. An ordinary cartridge not provided with these recesses cannot be fired from the gun.
