Abstract

465,968. Sandals. HUTTON, A. Dec. 5, 1935, No. 33707. [Class 17 (ii)] A shoe, slipper, or like footwear, more particularly a sandal for children's wear, is adjustable longitudinally to different sizes by means of screws N and Q, which pass through slots in plates P, J at top and 'bottom respectively of an insole portion I carried by the heel end of the sandal, into nuts O in an outer sole member F carried by the front portion of the sandal. A metal plate H is let into the top portion of the sole F at the rear end. The rear end of the sole F is guided in a recess U in the heel T and a strip of leather S is placed between the forward and rear insole parts M, I to form a flat surface upon which the foot rests. A fastening strap D is carried by the heel part of the sandal.
