LODGE-COTTRELL, Ltd., George Street, Parade, Birmingham.-(Siemens- Lurgi-Cottrell-Elektrofilter-Ges. f³r Forschung und Patentverwertung; 101, Nonnendammallee, Siemensstadt, Berlin) Dec. 23, 1935, No. 35582. [Class 39 (i)] Two or more electrical precipitators 3, 4, 5 are superposed in a flue 1 and are separately provided with independent conduits 11, 8, 9, 10 for the collection and removal of the precipitate while the gas to be cleaned flows directly without lateral diversion through the successive precipitators. As shown, the collecting conduits of the upper precipitators lead to the outside of the flue. Alternatively, the collecting conduits may pass through the fields of the precipitators lower in the arrangement, or through their collecting electrodes which are made hollow.
